Precision polished, lapped, as fired, diced, and drilled substrates available in standard and custom sizes, shapes and thicknesses: Sapphire A-plane, C-plane and R-plane wafers and discs, ultra-thin sapphire, fused silica wafers and discs, ultra-thin fused silica, aluminum nitride substrates, 96% lapped alumina substrates, polished and lapped 99.6% alumina substrates, polished polyimide wafers and discs, polished stainless steel wafers and discs, soda lime glass, quartz, silicon carbide, BK7 and other optical glass, color filter glass, Pyrex glass, Borofloat glass, steatite, polished aluminum, optical glass windows and discs, metal optics, silicon, single crystal quartz, stainless steel mirrors, and many others.

Specifications for Manufactured Parts

All wafers, discs, substrates, windows, optical discs and flat optical components are manufactured to industry standard specifications. Special capabilities include:

  • Ultra-thin polished parts, on some materials to 15 - 20um
  • Super polished surfaces: 2 - 4 Angstroms on select materials, < 7 Angstroms on many optical materials
  • Flatness to < 1/10 Wave. Some parts to 1/20 wave
  • Tight thickness tolerances ± .5um
  • Parallelism as low as 5 arc seconds
  • Wafers, windows and disks available in standard and custom sizes up to 300mm diameter
  • Flat lapping and polishing from as small as 1mm to as large as 48"
  • Dicing as small as 0.2mm square

  • Class 1000 Cleanroom which can be operated as Class100 Cleanroom when required
  • WYKO laser optical profilometer which measures angstrom level surface finishes
  • Fizeau Laser Interferometer with 1/20 wave resolution for flatness measurements
  • Indars Optical Interferometer with 1/10 wave capability to measure flatness of thin transparent wafers and substrates as well as vacuum chucks and other similar parts using non contact methodology
  • Beckman Spectrometer for light transmission measurements
  • Mitutoyo Litematic with 0.1um resolution for thickness measurements
  • Metallurgical 1000X microscope for surface analysis

HEBO is Valley's exclusive representative for Germany. Valley has also recently partnered with Optics Concept to represent its products and services exclusively in France.
